Just a GPS coordinate on a map, this open water location located 5 miles off the shores of Bahia Honda SP, are remarkable, turquoise waters, 10-20 feet of water, teaming with marine life. I didn’t get any stellar photographs, but I did want to share our experience with you all. This was the kids first time snorkeling, or in open water, and as fate would have it, theirs (and mine) first time caught up in a rip current. Didn’t realize it till we jumped in, and half the snorkelers on board swiftly went away from the boat. It was a little unnerving, and a big effort to get out of the situation, but once we did, we had a great time. Seen alot of fish, as seen under ladder, and sea turtles, jelly fish, and even a hammerhead shark. The water was clear and stunning and it was relatively calm too. All in all, it was a memorable first time for kids, and only our 2nd time to ever go. Here are just a few pics of our adventure. Enjoy!
