If you ever get a chance to go to Manatee Springs State Park, GO! You won’t regret it. Between the crystal clear turquoise waters and the various shades of green that surrounds you, it is a quiet and peaceful place to visit. The wildlife are abundant here as well, and may well walk right through your campsite, as was the case for us. This is a swamp though, so there are snakes and gators lurking about, but if you are lucky, you will get to see, if not swim with, the manatees that call this park home much of the winter. Go check it out, but be prepared to unplug at the gate entrance, because that is where the cell service ends! Be sure to visit the Gallery, many of the photos I took here are available for purchase!
